Henk Bruggeman has over 30 years experience in the Hospitality Industry and worked throughout his career in different corporate positions for international hotel chains and independent restaurant operators and is familiar with business environments in Europe, Russia, Africa, China and the Middle East region.
Before starting HJA Hospitality, Henk had a dual role at the Jumeirah Restaurant Group as Vice President Business Development, responsible for 50 multi brand restaurants and was the Managing Director for the noodle house franchise with 21 owned and franchised restaurants.
Previous to joining Jumeirah, he was the Director of Operations for the Hakkasan Group, overlooking the pre-opening, opening and operations of Hakkasan Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Shanghai.
At Food-mark, a subsidiary of the Landmark Retail Group, Henk was General Manager for the restaurant group, working with leading brands, including Carluccio’s, Mango Tree, Max Restaurant from the Philippines, TWG Tea Singapore, Michelin star chef Atul Kochhar and joint venture partner The Meat Co, overlooking 45 restaurants.
During his tenure as Food and Beverage Director at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, Henk was responsible for the expansion of 5 restaurants and catering facilities, quadru-pling the revenues over 8 years.
At HJA Hospitality, Henk is the entrepreneurial force and key liaison between Brand Owners, Operators, Developers, Franchise Operations and Investors, working directly with Key Stakeholders to align strategy programs.
Henk provides innovative ideas, concepts and business solutions with a unique approach towards each project, presenting key findings and strategic direction that reflects the objectives of its clients.
HJA Hospitality works with third parties and celebrity chefs, developing new F&B concepts ensuring a profitable F&B operation from the time of incubation to operating the restaurant.

With a penchant for facts and figures and a focus on profitable F&B operations, Henk takes his responsibility serious and brings answers, ideas and ROI to the table, bringing under-performing operations up to their highest potential through renovation, rejuvenation and exciting new approaches. Providing advise on operations, payroll, finance management and reporting, he assists in finding new and creative solutions.
HJA Hospitality advises owners, operators and investors on suitable concepts and assists with the development, operation and management of stand-alone restaurants, managing restaurants on behalf of third parties and prepares suitable concepts for possible joint ventures or franchises.
